The HFEA 2008 made radical changes to fertility law and to parental orders after surrogacy. Some of it came into force in April 2009, but from 6 April 2010 gay couples can apply for parental orders after surrogacy.
Andrea Woelke will introduce the new changes and talk about the initial practical experience. There will be time for questions.
This seminar will be of interest to family lawyers but also to anyone else who is interested in gay parenting.
Places are strictly limited to 15, so please register early. Please un-register if you cannot make it so that the place can be freed for someone else.
There will be drinks after the seminar.
Please remember for solicitors only 4 of your 16 CPD hours need to be on accredited courses, so this can count towards the other 12.
The event will take place at Alternative Family Law. Please arrive early for a prompt start. (http://www.alternativefamilylaw.co.uk)
